ADT Marrow Dance Workshop

Internationally renowned and Adelaide based company, Australian Dance Theatre invites participants to join the company for a workshop exploring ADTs work Marrow. Facilitated by the companys performing artists, the workshop will guide participants through a series of movement activities introducing the themes of the work and the companys approach to creative process.

What to expect: The workshops are designed for all levels of dance experience and are taught in an open and supportive environment. The sessions provide an opportunity for youth audiences to connect with company and through the activities, explore new movement ideas and skills.

What to wear: Comfortable dance wear e.g. trackpants and t-shirt, shorts and t-shirt. You can choose to dance barefoot or in socks.

What to bring: Please bring a drink bottle

Creating from its home on Kaurna Yerta, Australian Dance Theatre is led by Wiradjuri man, Daniel Riley, who was welcomed by the company as the new Artistic Director in 2022.

Australian Dance Theatre has been creating and performing exceptional contemporary dance across the country and around the world since 1965 and is the countrys oldest continuing contemporary dance company. Australian Dance Theatre is committed to the presentation of work reflective of Australias diverse voices, landscapes and histories.

Australian Dance Theatre is currently on tour sharing their work Marrow with audiences across the nation.

Marrow Performance: Workshop attendees are encouraged to complete their learnings by attending the performance of Marrow on Thursday July 17th. Youth and Family Pass tickets are available.
