Lolo Lovina (‘Red Beer’) are an intoxicating Marrickville home brew of Unza, Swing, and Balkan Gypsy beats. Led by the Romani-Gypsy vocalist Sarah Bedák, Lolo Lovina’s music embodies the cosmopolitan essence of artists who embrace their native cultures, yet evidently break rules of them all.

With an ensemble of especially brilliant Sydney based musicians including Serbian Romani drummer Nenad Radic, Ukrainian keys and sax player Leon Beshlei on keys and sax, Bulgarian Kaval (traditional wooden flute) player Ivaylo Karamenliev, Maltese Australian bassist Nathan Gatt , Dave Carr on guitar, Noa Kidd on guitar and Sam Golding on trumpet.

Lolo Lovina have not only played the Sydney Opera House, but also Havana World Music Festival, Woodford Festival, Dark Mofo, SXSW Texas, Vivid Sydney, across the Pacific Islands, Macau China, East and West Europe.

Their album Rroma Sapien received a 4-star review in the renowned London based World Music magazine ‘Songlines’, and additionally have made the international Transglobal World Music Charts.
