This 22nd Dec show features our Headliner – Julia Wilson.
An Aussie woman like no other, Julia has headlined comedy events all over the world, thrilling audiences both on stage, in film and on radio, in Australia, Britain, South Africa, Croatia, Germany and Canada as well as touring and performing her own show at the Festivals all around the world.
Julia doesn’t just take the stage, she owns it.
“Wilson is as tough as a sack full of nails… takes you on a taste defying ride you won’t forget in a hurry.” – Drum Media, Australia
“Brilliant, filthy, cut-to-the-bone, fast-paced banter making you laugh til you have bellyache. ****” – Herald Sun, Australia
“Her gags are fired off faster than snakebites in a mongoose cage…There’s nothing like laughing at other people’s misfortunes, and no guilt if you can claim you were scared into it… Be warned.” – TNT Magazine, UK
MC – Marty Bright.
Marty Bright is an internationally touring comedian and spoken word poet.
He has performed his unique hybrid brand of energetic upbeat stand up comedy with a twist of heartfelt cosmic spoken word around the world at some of the top venues and festivals including: Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Comedy Store (L.A and Sydney), Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Spiegeltent.
Plus guest spots:
Aunty Maureen – a Darug woman from the Hawkesbury river area, competed at the Deadly Funny 2021 National Grand Final Melbourne International Comedy Festival & toured with the Koori Comedy group
Leon Anderson – a Stand Up Comedian from the Central Coast who has appeared on the footy show 3 times. A regular on the Comedy circuit and was a wildcard and finalist in Comedy on the Rox. Was runner up in the South Coast raw comedy competition. Very dry witted and straight shooting comic.
Liam Callen – Newcastle’s own Liam Callen, professional stand up dandy, and living personification of apathy, sociable shut-in, and generally optimistic nihilist.
