Central Coast Music & Arts + Central Coast Council are thrilled to reveal the full program for TUBULAR, a 10-day Music & Arts Festival in the heart of Gosford and surrounding areas from 16th - 26th November 2023 on Darkinjung Land.
Inspired by sound, art, food, light, connection and community, TUBULAR aims to celebrate the creativity and cultural identities of the Central Coast. 10 Days, 18 events, 34+ Artists, 13 workshops and 12 venues, the festival endeavours to become an annual highlight in the Coast’s events calendar, fostering community engagement and promoting tourism.
PSALT; our Marquee Event on Saturday 25th November will take over the picturesque Gosford Waterfront for a day of world class music, artisan markets, culinary delights and community activations. The free entry event will feature the high octane stylings of punk rock trio DZ Deathrays on the Grove Scout Hall stage, Multi-hyphenate R&B artist Keiynan, musical chameleons Furnace and the Fundamentals serving up an eclectic mix of the world’s best covers, along with the stunning vocals of local talent Molly Millington, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
FADE INTO YOU; is a celebration of music, femininity, and community. Presented by Coasties Mag the two All Ages events will be held 16th & 17th November at Avoca Surf Life Saving Club & Mooney Mooney Church. With renowned folk-tronica artist Gordi at the helm, both evenings have been programmed alongside a curated line-up of some of the Central Coast's finest female singer/songwriters, including Tessa Thames, Elaskia, Ruby Archer, NEAV, Ella Powell, Chloe Louise, Summer Healey & Scarlett.
FLOTILLA; Will see the coastal town of Ettalong Beach taken over with our Sunrise SUP Event. In partnership with Bombora Ettalong Beach SUP, avid water lovers are invited down to participate and witness our giant SUP ‘Flotilla’ installation captured by drone.
At the forefront of the Festival’s ethos is community engagement aimed to inspire creativity and innovation and so TUBULAR will feature various Workshops throughout the week including; MusicBiz Tune Up: A Half-Day music masterclass with Nick Findlay triple j’s Music Director, Gossy Music Nights – taking over venues around the Gosford CBD, Ukelele Workshop + live show with Nicky Bomba, Fight for the Right to Party - Gig Buddies info session, Brazilian Drum-Dance-Sing Workshop, Electronic Music Production masterclass + more to be announced.
Other Satellite events will include; You Am I - The You's Pull Up Their Troos Tour @ Everglades, Woy Woy | Moon Rise All Night Ft. Tijuana Cartel, BNDT & Marina Da Silva (DJ) @ Sunken Monkey | Sunsoli album launch @ Drifter's Wharf | The Sunday Refresher @ Drifters Wharf
and a very special Tubular Edition of the Avoca Markets featuring performances from Winterbourne, Ella Powell and more.
Presented by Central Coast Music & Arts, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to develop the coast’s contemporary music & arts scene, the festival will unite local community groups to enhance their own businesses whilst also bringing new and interesting ideas to the Coast. This collaborative effort promises to bring an exceptional and immersive experience to the local community and visitors alike.
