This Grandparents Day, Australians are encouraged to spend time with or phone their grandparents, or older members of the community, to reminisce on the fond times shared and to say thanks for their contribution and support.
“Grandparents play an essential role in our community. Grandparents Day gives the chance to reflect on the special times that you’ve shared with your grandparents or older members of your community. These are the moments that really matter. Grandparents Day is a great way to bring different generations together and celebrate the invaluable role grandparents play in our families and community organisations,” says Ian Day, CEO of Council on the Ageing NSW.
Many council and community groups are running Grandparents Day events across New South Wales. For more details, please click the Visit Website tab.
