Introducing The Bellbird Committee Inc – ‘Bellbirds’

We are your local Central Coast charity founded in 1976 who have helped disadvantaged children through fundraising and community support for over 40 years.

Who are BELLBIRDS?

Bellbirds is a Central Coast Not-for-profit Charity registered with both the Australian Tax Office and the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). None of our members receive any payment. We are all volunteers. Bellbirds was formed in 1976 by a small group of local Mothers who met through their young children and continued to meet on an informal basis to raise money for children in less fortunate circumstances.

What do BELLBIRDS do?

We are able to make a BIG difference in the lives of these children and their families through our fundraising program with the support of our Champions and the hard work of our members who give their time generously.

Typically, we are able to raise around $30,000 each year through holding a variety of fundraising events within the Central Coast. These events include an annual Dinner Dance, a Trivia Night, Movie Nights, an annual Race Day, Fashion Parades and many more enjoyable functions. It is through ticket sales to these events, sale of raffle tickets and the generosity of the community we are able to meet our goals. All money raised stays here on the Coast. These funds go directly towards making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children on the Central Coast.

Our Bellbird Assessment Committee research and evaluate every request we receive for assistance on a case by case basis, to ensure the money we provide is allocated to local recipients deservedly in need. All requests for help are strictly confidential.

How can you support BELLBIRDS?

Enough is never enough! We are continually in need of funds to help the many local children who require assistance. Bellbirds appreciate and rely on the support for our fundraising events from local businesses and supporters who can promote our events, purchase tickets, provide raffle or auction prizes and sponsorship.
