In The Heights – January 10-12
Start the new year with a bang with an all-star musical, a fistful of some of Australia’s best comedians, plus kids shows and workshops.

The Art House has launched its program for the school holidays, and the line-up is so good that this summer the whole family will be heading straight from the beach to the theatre.

In The Heights - January 10-12
First up, The Art House stage will be transformed into a vibrant Manhattan street corner as The Art House presents its first all-star musical, ‘In The Heights’. The four-time Tony Award-winning show comes to Sydney Opera House Concert Hall in mid-January, but not before an exclusive premiere season at The Art House.

In a coup for the Central Coast, not only will The Art House present this salsa-fuelled musical, but leading its all-star cast is Central Coast local and Hi-5 star, Joe Kalou. The show is also choreographed by nationally recognized Central Coast-born choreographer Amy Campbell.

Hot on the heels of In The Heights comes a mini comedy festival featuring a clutch of some of the best-known Australian Comedians. Whether it’s a single show or, for the more dedicated comedy fan, a four-show pass, The Art House is banking on there being a show for just about every kind of comedy fan.

For kids, there are plenty of opportunities to get them theatre-lovers away from their screens and into a show or a school holiday workshop.
