This November 5th “Clambake Cabaret” simultaneously marks the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus 4th birthday. Growing in leaps and bounds from its Nov 2018 launch, the organisation is today a nationally recognisable brand and region’s leading Contemporary Arts & Culture organisation.

“Clambake” is once again back with a brand-new production as part of the Central Coast Councils “Lakes Festival” .  A standout popular fixture feature of the festival known for its creative, original, and often breathtaking take on the “Lakes” theme with its unique and always surprising interpretation on the annual Water ways.

This year’s theme “Swamp Thang” takes a satirical approach with the comical warning “As the tide pulls in beyond the blooming Brisbane water mangrove mounds the mysterious creatures of kooky cabaret rise with a fresh catch of Bawdy Burlesque, Sideshow sweethearts, Drag Divas & Creatures of Cabaret for a splashtacular evening of Performance Art abounds with pounds of heart, tail and whale”

Clambake Producer Glitta Supernova remarking “The definition of Cabaret has evolved over the years & Contemporary Cabaret bends the classic cabaret models towards work that engages high and low culture together, uniting and crisscrossing roots across musical cabaret, variety, comedy, drag, burlesque, and performance art, we are very proud to be able to bring this new work out especially post what we have all been through over the last couple of years”.

With award winning headliner performers coming from Sydney, Canberra & Blue Mountains such as Performance artists Justin Shoulder who presents across Australia and Internationally between gallery, theatre and cinema contexts. The circus style showgirl! Sian Brigid & Burlesque and Performance trio The Divergent Dolls the evening expects another full house. We have a strong local focus keeping local Coastie performers in paid, engaging new work as well as awesome networking opportunities where creative and organic relationships are flourishing nationally, so also taking the stage is the brilliant cultural satire Jazz musician Dorian Mode, 1st nations Nonbinary Queen Diva D-Lish flying high with a circus aerial show, young Jazz & Blues Singer Hannah-Rae, Drag by Khandii Kum Loudly & your hostess with the moistest Glitta Supernova.

The new wave of cabaret is one of the most theatrical formats around the globe right now not only because its heaps of fun & abit cheeky but because it is accessible and inclusive in its content & crosses class, age, gender, culture & sexuality.  Like all productions the Naughty Noodle develops or delivers It’s a melting pot of people & ideas, work that weave contemporary social criticism, activism, and identity politics with ironic humour, drag ethos, and pop culture deconstructions. “In a nut shell it’s a hoot”
