Show Tells Audience’s Love Stories

Whether it’s a painful break up, how you met the love of your life, or a hilarious first date, everyone’s got a love story, and for the past few years The Good Room theatre company have been delicately turning the love stories of their audiences into a unique and powerful theatre production, where every-day love takes centre-stage.

I Want to Know What Love Is has sold out shows nation-wide; the production comes to The Art House on March 2 and now The Art House are calling for the Central Coast’s anonymous submissions to feature in the show.

So far, over 800 stories, thoughts and ideas have been submitted, ranging from heartbreaking tales, to two-word declarations. A few so far include:

Submission #87: “It’s been years, but I still think of you and wonder ‘What could have been?’

Submission #346: “I choose to say it did not fail. It just finished.”

Submission #302: “Jemma forever xo

The show takes these submissions and magnifies them, turning them into huge, technicolour dramatisations and declarations complete with rose petals, giant banners, and much more. Part of the thrill of the production is not knowing whether the stories you are hearing are from the person sitting next to you, or even whether your own story will make it into the show.

To anonymously submit your love story, declaration or rant, visit the website.
