The Bounce Back from Breast Cancer tailored training program and online community is a world first for offering completely personalised, guided recovery and rehabilitation for women anywhere in the world, that they can access in the comfort of their own loungeroom.
Local leading Cancer Rehab Occupational Therapist (OT) and Lymphoedema Therapist, Kate Perkins, helps individuals diagnosed with cancer to improve their quality of life and assist recovery through individualised, evidence-based, exercise rehab programs at the Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions clinic.
“I have always known there are women who just don't have access to the type of services I provide and find it very difficult to recover from cancer treatment, with loss of strength, movement and energy,” “Bounce Back from Breast Cancer offers women a series of specifically tailored breast cancer recovery exercises to help them recover faster and connects them with a supportive community of women who really understand what they are going through” says Perkins.
The program has been specially designed to help women feel confident to perform these exercises in the comfort of their own home. Women seeking additional support, exercise correction, movement techniques and further program personalisation can also book personal online consultations.
“Our approach is evidence-based and extremely personalised, which is what makes it so powerful and unique”. Participants experience increased energy levels, improved posture, correct movement patterns and optimal lymphatic function. It’s so rewarding to see so many women come out the other end of their treatment stronger than before their diagnosis. Plus, they also have the support of a fabulous online community of Bounce Back Babes who have completed the Foundation Program.” explains Perkins.
