Place Maker - the heart of the Central Coast
Council is co-organising the event, which is focused on creating connections through art. A series of local creatives will share and lead stories, songs, photography, and interviews about their personal and shared responses to the recent local flooding in the region.
Council Unit Manager Community and Culture, Glenn Cannard said a sense of belonging is at the very heart of the Central Coast, and Place Maker at The Entrance will feature consecutive events over the Easter Holiday to celebrate the natural beauty of the region, and the resilience and fortitude of our community after the rain.
“Place Maker is set to inspire conversations and strengthen connections while demonstrating the value of the creative sector and what can be achieved through shared experiences and community dialogue,” Mr Cannard said.
Council Administrator Rik Hart said it was fantastic that the arts and cultural strengths of the Central Coast will be reflected in its stories of resilience.
“Arts and culture belong to everyone, Council is supporting the sector through commissioning local artists and increasing community participation.”
