Monty Pythons Spamalot is the Latest Sydney Smash-Hit for The Art House Central Coast
Based on the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this anarchic and immersive musical follows the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The eccentric cast of heroic/foolish actors battle their way through historical inaccuracies, and past various cows, killer rabbits, and French people to pursue their claim of the legendary Grail.
In this evening of laughs, Monty Python fans can be sure that their favourite quotable moments from the film are delivered superbly, as the production embraces the satirical and home-made spirit of the classic original screenplay.
Limited on-stage seating adds another layer of comedy and makes this a unique production format for the venue, guaranteeing a memorable experience (and plenty of surprises!) for audiences.
Featuring a cast to watch including Marty Alix (In The Heights), Blake Appelqvist (Dorian Gray, American Psycho), and Cramer Cain (ABC’s The Straits), choreographed by Cameron Mitchell (Hi-5, So You Think You Can Dance, Heathers the Musical), and directed by Richard Carroll (Calamity Jane).
“The company is totally on fire and sending audiences into the night with faces aching from two hours of laughter” Stage Noise
"If you’re after an action-packed, hilarious, incredibly fun night at the theatre, Hayes Theatre’s production of Spamalot is it… Directed by Richard Carroll, the entire cast was simply brilliant.” Daily Telegraph
“The most absurd, ridiculous, joyful night of musical theatre going…” The Music
