Posted: 21 Feb 2020
Locally bred mare Bedtime Stories gets her chance on Sunday 23rd February to possibly race in the $500,000 Country Championship Final at Royal Randwick on April 4th.

But first Bedtime Stories has to win or place 2nd in the qualifier at Taree on Sunday & will be ridden by Winona Costin.

Bedtime Stories escaped death as a yearling with a bout of gas colic. Her heart rate was 140bpm. Newcastle Equine Hospital was amazed that she was still alive  & she defied the odds & once she was ready the decision was made to send her to trainer Darren Hyde at Dubbo where Bedtime Stories went in to win her very first start.

Bedtime Stories continued to another win for Darren Hyde. The time came where she needed to break into the provincial circuit.

She was put in the care of local trainer Allan Kehoe. Allan Kehoe Racing Stables made the decision to move to Port Macquarie in pesuit of the Country Championships. Managing Owner Mr Robert Gollan welcomed the move.

Bedtime Stories has won twice at Gosford in her four starts at the track.

Bedtime Stories is very popular with the punters throughout Australia.

Win or lose on Sunday Bedtime Stories has shown her owners that she has a will to win with enormous heart.
