Laura Ahmajani of Transform with Lawz based in Forresters Beach NSW has been named as a finalist for the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards in the Health and Wellbeing and Making a Difference Health category.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The Women’s Business School celebrate and recognise Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Laura is all heart, she wholeheartedly and intentionally leads with love and service to others. She has a special way of reaching you, seeing you and connecting with you on such a real level. Laura’s work comes so naturally to her, placing a name or label on the services that she provides to her community of soulful warrior women is nearly impossible.

You may initially meet her as a Holistic Fitness Coach however she is so much more. She is also qualified in Art of Metaphysical Science providing a range of energy balance services, Life Coaching towards becoming ‘Unstuck’, Wellbeing Programs - Habits and Rituals and a Tarot Card and Angel Card Reader. Women find may find themselves walking in for a fitness session and instead end up sitting casually on the mats deep in life changing conversations about why and where they are really feeling stuck in life and how she can support them.

While continuing to do her own deep inner work and expanding her studies and interests, this adds to the diversity of services Laura has to offer and support her clients with. This has allowed Laura to connect with her clients on such a deep level, knowing that to change ones life patterns is so much more than just fitness training, it’s an integration of the Mind + Body + Spirit = Oneness.

“After a long self journey, I realised that women gravitate towards me and I with them, connecting on a very real, deep, beautiful and messy level. I felt for the longest time that I wanted to connect lost souls together, to provide a safe place for women to be heard, seen and belong whilst being wholeheartedly themselves. Something I craved myself for so long throughout my life.

Transform with Lawz organically started to grow when women invited other women (their friends) that were feeling the same, looking for a place to exercise, heal and connect without judgement by the trainer and other clients.

Laura is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly by her courage to continue to show up every day. Every single day. Firstly, for herself and for others. Regardless of the grief and trauma that life has thrown her way. Regardless of feeling high or low. Laura chooses to show up by choice.

Laura is also proud that she has put her dreams out there, out loud, in writing, to the universe, to the world, to her family. Committing to them and fulling her dreams. Creating the life she wants to live everyday with as much intention and presence as possible.

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Laura explains, “Oh my goodness - SO MUCH, where do I start!” Laura excited to explain. “So much love and joy in connecting with likeminded people. Watching my community grow by the day - quite literally. So many women and more and more men these days looking to belong, heal and connect.

As well as the freedom to work for myself, being home for my boys and home life. I choose to lead by example to my boys to know they can follow their dreams and dream big, I will always be their safety next. Having the freedom to run my business the way I choose and always willing to be open to learning and listening to my community. I love that I can keep shit real, being myself wholeheartedly. “And earn an income doing it.”

It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family as a solo mum, Laura gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise. “It can be done. Firstly, I’d ask them the same question that I ask myself when I am setting a goal or dream - “how badly do you want this?”

If you want it badly enough you will find a way no matter what. Or sometimes it finds you! Life is funny like that. If you have a passion for it, fills you with joy and it’s of service to others - go live out your dream. Make it happen. Create the life you want to live. The best ripple effect is showing our children (by doing it ourselves) and others that we can achieve and live our dreams working in a business that we love.”

The winners of the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced at an online event in September.
