Local Artist Turns Fashion Heads for Melbourne Fashion Festival

Local Indigenous Tumbi Umbi Artist Carmen Jackson has a small business called Carmen Jackson Art and has been recognised for her exhibitions and art prizes previously.

Carmen has been busy turning her unique oil paintings that are one of a kind into trendy fashion and footwear showcasing her pieces in New York and in Paris in 2023. 

In 2024 Carmen Jackson Art is pushing her career as an established Indigenous artist on the fashion runway for the Melbourne Fashion Festival in March 2024. She was selected from a panel from Global Indigenous Management to walk the runway with 15 outfits that represent her artistic pieces. 
Carmen is proud to represent her designs and will keep striving to show her fashion to Australia and International audiences.
