Leading Local Nutritionist Supporting Local Netballers
Owner of Eatsense and leading local nutritionist, Nicole Saliba recently partnered with Wyong District Netball Association (WDNA) and Gosford Netball Association to support players and their families with comprehensive nutritional education sessions and access to services. The team at Eatsense are passionate about providing personalised nutrition advice that makes sense, with Nicole Saliba recently presenting a valuable education session to players during the WDNA training camp last weekend on the importance of fuelling and nourishing the body.
Nicole Saliba spent the session educating teenage girls playing representative netball about how to fuel and nourish their bodies so that they can perform at their best whilst also having a healthy relationship with food and a positive body image. Saliba states, “You can educate young women about eating well and fuelling themselves for their sport without bringing calories, weight and appearance into it.” Saliba goes on to mention, “I don’t want to be another ‘nutritionist’ who plays a part in someone’s disordered eating or poor body image. That’s why I am now a proud sponsor of the Gosford Netball Association Inc and Wyong District Netball Association!”
Saliba inspired and motivated the young athletes with “coaches and players thoroughly enjoying the talk and learning how they can better use food in their lives,” said Kellie Walker, PR & Sponsorship Manager of WDNA. Saliba and her team provide a refreshing approach to nutrition, “focusing on how nutrition and exercise help people feel, and perform, not how they look.”
Eatsense was established on the NSW Central Coast in 2013 by owner and Accredited Practising Dietitian Nicole Saliba and has since grown into a team of passionate dietitians. The Eatsense team strongly believe that healthy eating does not have to be complicated or restrictive, and that eating well should be stress and guilt-free. Eatsense provide tailored and scientifically-backed nutrition advice that makes sense and offer professional nutrition services to individuals, children, families and groups.
Operating in West Gosford, Wyong and now Erina, the team provide nutrition advice for general health and lifestyle, as well as medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition and educational seminars.
