NAIDOC week is a very real opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing culture on the planet.

For 2023 NAIDOC week Barang Regional Alliance & Naughty Noodle present NAIDOC Nylon III a deadly, stereotype busting, blazing line-up of Faboriginal +Torres Strait Islander entertainers with a brand new, eclectic and poignant Variety Cabaret across multiple contemporary genres.

The event continues to grow year upon year from its inception 2019 doubling its capacity post COVID and this year is bringing fashion, fun and fabulousness with MC hostess Jarin who is set to make NAIDOC celebrations at Naughty Noodle glitter with blak fun and energy. This year includes global star and show headliner from RuPauls Dragrace Down Under Pomara Fifth as well as singer-song writer & rapper Majeda sharing some Rnb/Hip Hop flavour, Brolga Dance Academy will also be entertaining with Contemporary Dance and award winning Local Poet Brooke Scobie, local Burlesque by The Kamilaroi Kween Vudu Doll, Circus & Dance by Tynga Williams, local Khandii K Loudly & local Singer / songwriter Corrie Hodson.

“This year was an absolute pleasure to work on with our 1st nations intern assistant producer and stage manager offering First Nations young people opportunity to gain Arts Administration and productions skills “behind the scenes” across events production. Assistant producer Tynga Williams & stage manager Tash Hanson on our team.” Stated creative director Glitta Supernova. “Its all about empowering our local young people & 1st nations communities to upskill & gain experience in this industry, Tynga has done a fabulous job curating the line-up & this year’s show is shaping up to be a cracker.”

We encourage everyone to come & support independent Aboriginal +Torres Strait Islander artists & producers highlighting their proud history and ongoing fight for equality and recognition by the mere definition of their performance offering as together we celebrate all things adventurous through pioneering artists & renegades bearing offerings that can, and often do, reshape and expand views.

Our fabulous Supper options have been curated by Dan’s Jerk Joint who specialise in serving Caribbean Style cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients.
