HOYTS Erina gets a multi-million dollar makeover
Block out your calendars and call up your fellow movie buffs the Central Coast is set to get a taste of the new and improved HOYTS Erina with the introduction of extra-comfy powered recliners.
From today (the first in a three-phase approach), locals can watch the latest blockbusters in style and comfort, with the addition of state-of-the-art powered recliner seats in two brand-new HOYTS Xtremescreen auditoriums. These cinema boxes will also feature 22.9-metre-wide screens, (the biggest on the Central Coast), and Dolby Atmos 7.1 surround sound.
President and CEO of The HOYTS Group Damian Keogh said that the implementation of recliner seats is only the beginning of what is set to be a complete venue overhaul.
"We are ecstatic to bring families on the Central Coast a fully revamped HOYTS cinema,” Damian said.
“The HOYTS Erina refurbishment will be a full makeover of the standard auditoriums – something that has been a long time in the making.
“Erina is uniquely positioned as the central lifestyle hub for the entirety of the Central Coast; this includes Gosford, all the way to Tuggerah and to The Entrance. It was important for us to elevate Erina’s offering as a one-stop destination, giving those on the Central Coast the very best cinema experience possible.”
Erina’s total refurbishment will house eight state-of-the-art auditoriums, all with extra-comfy, powered recliners as its standard cinema seats and is slated for completion at the end of the ear.
In addition to two Xtremescreen auditoriums, Erina will play host to a cutting-edge HOYTS D-BOX auditorium in the coming months. This brand-new cinematic experience features super comfortable motion recliners that move in perfect sync with all the on-screen action.
According to HOYTS Erina Location Manager Anthony Duke, the refurbishment will put the guest experience at the centre of its service offering.
“Comfort, state-of-the-art facilities and elevated food and beverage offerings allow us to offer a quality movie experience to Central Coast locals,” Anthony said.
“Each auditorium, screen, and seat will offer something for everyone – as will the delicious line-up of food and beverage options, which will include Treat City and an Artie’s Bar and Café.
“This is going to be an incredible addition to the cinema scene on the Central Coast, and we can’t wait to share the experience of next-level technology, comfort and hospitality with our guests.”
Whilst HOYTS works hard in the background to deliver a fully transformed cinema, locals can still enjoy the latest titles as they’re released in Xtremescreen and standard recliner auditoriums.
The line-up of titles over the coming months includes action blockbusters and much anticipated family titles such as Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World: Dominion, Lightyear, Minions: The Rise of Gru, and Elvis just to name a few.
The HOYTS Erina refurbishment will be completed in three phases, slated to be finished at the end of the year. Phase one includes the introduction of powered recliner seats and Daybeds in the two brand-new Xtremescreen auditoriums. Phase two will see the cutting-edge D-BOX technology hit HOYTS Erina alongside even more auditoriums with powered recliner seats, plus Treat City and Artie’s Bar and Café. The final phase will involve installing recliner seats in the remaining auditoriums.
