Ensemble Offspring surge into The Art House
Redefining the classical music experience into something bright, bold, and most importantly, accessible; the ensemble’s concerts are a kaleidoscope of energy, imagination, and skill; and The Surge is no exception.
Performed by some of the nation’s most fearless and virtuosic instrumentalists, The Surge fuses technicolour 90s nostalgia with stunning live video projections in a concert that challenges perceptions of what classical music is and who can enjoy it.
The result is a genre-bending contemporary performance that inspires old and new music fans alike.
At the heart of Ensemble Offspring’s mission is an unwavering commitment to the creation of living new music. Since forming in 1995, they have commissioned and premiered over 350 new works, solidifying their position as champions of contemporary music in Australia.
Like Ensemble Offspring, The Art House Wyong prides itself on being at the cutting-edge of the performing arts, by delivering diverse and exciting shows to engage Coasties into discovering new ways to enjoy and experience art, music, and culture.
The Surge will captivate audiences on Friday October 13th, and will be Ensemble Offspring’s only performance on the Central Coast.
“In a music industry that can often feel impenetrable - most of all for marginalised voices - its mission is not just honourable, but essential. In other words, it is not just doing the right thing, it is doing what’s necessary for the survival of new music in Australia.” – Cut Common
“Ensemble Offspring create visceral, joyous music…” – Sydney Morning Herald
