Direct from New York, Cabaret brings back Bette Midler
“The pitch-perfect, multi-talented Martin seamlessly floats between multiple costumes, personae and skits, never once leaving the stage, and carrying the calm of a seasoned performer”. – The New York Times
Bathhouse Bette is set in the early 70's, when a 26-year-old, hungry, as-yet-unknown chorus girl, Bette Midler, got her chops as the resident firecracker chanteuse singing at the legendary Continental Baths with her as-yet-unknown house accompanist, a guy called Barry Manilow. As per the fashion of bawdy Bette expect copious amounts of singing, stories and dancing! Amber will be performing live with special steamy surprises including her very own "Barry", the brilliant Rupert Noffs (The Lucky Bee), accompanied by Australia's piano man himself Jeremy Brennan.
“I haven't laughed like that in I don't know when. Amber is the real deal, a scream, like I Love Lucy on acid beyond the pale! I think she is brilliant!” – Sandra Bernhard
“The new COVID normal has taught our organisation that innovative Artist lead Community initiatives such as the Naughty Noodle can continue to not only reimagine how and what we do but how embedding ourselves within our communities we can together pull the best of contemporary culture from around the planet and finally begin to develop our own unique identity. Ettalong has just been nominated finalist as best Small Tourism Town and we can further say we have contemporary culture that compliments and further reflects that, for the first time people are coming to the region for contemporary, vibrant, culture as well as our gorgeous natural environment and our awesome local brands get to shine with broader exposure and opportunities to amplify themselves, at every activation we are able to highlight not only world class immersive arts and culture that’s accessible and relevant to locals and visitors alike but further promote night-time economics across our accommodation providers, our local food curators and after hours entertainment venues.
It’s no coincidence that the Naughty Noodle has just been bumped up to the number 3 most popular thing to do in Ettalong, to date we have achieved this with zero state funding, our focus as a regional arts and culture charity is embedding a more socially equitable, happier and more welcoming community, no one can deny the positive change in the air.
So if you are wanting to hear a NYC diva belting out some tunes, stories and feel some international culture, gather the gang & book dinner and a show @ The Naughty Noodle, with a side order #lovecentralcoast and you further be supporting a more welcoming & diverse Central Coast and the change revolution happening, ready or not!
