Customs 4 Cancer- local business owners battling cancer with custom vehicles

Customs 4 Cancer are three mates who are passionate about two things, custom vehicles and raising much-needed funds for cancer research.

Working in partnership with Cancer Council Australia, the local fundraising initiative, Customs 4 Cancer are actively raising funds through raffling unique custom vehicles with their latest give away a Volkswagen Amarok V6 Four-wheel Drive and Jayco Caravan Valued at $157,000 being drawn on December 15th.

Inspired by their own personal experiences with the illness, Dr Ned Restom (who has previously undergone surgery and intense chemotherapy) and Deane Poile of Deane Poile Designs (whose father passed away due to cancer), decided to team up for this extremely worthwhile cause. The campaign has seen them partner with their mate Adam Barnes of Design by Barnes, given his expertise in building custom cars.

The local business owners have combined their love for custom vehicles to help raise much needed funds for cancer through their innovative fundraising initiative, Customs 4 Cancer. And what a prize! With the year we have all endured who wouldn’t want to start their next adventure by winning the custom Volkswagen Amarok V6 Four- wheel Drive and Jayco Caravan- Valued at $157,000.

Dr Ned Restom, leading local Dentist and Practice Principal of Australian Dental & Implant Group comprising of established dental practices across the Coast including Avoca Beach Dental, Saratoga Dental, Empire Bay Dental, Bonnells Bay Dental, Mingara Dental & Implant Centre and Warnervale Dental, is a cancer survivor himself. Ned underwent surgery and intense chemotherapy for cancer treatment. After his completion of treatment and receiving an excellent prognosis, it got Ned and his mates talking about the fact that not everybody with cancer has had such a positive outcome and hence Customs 4 Cancer was born.

The tenacious trio are thrilled to have a pledge of full support and endorsement from the Cancer Council and feel privileged to be working in partnership with them. Their goal is to raise over $1 million dollars for the Cancer Council from their raffles to help raise funds and awareness for this undiscriminating disease.
