Community Connection At Forefront This Christmas Eve
A much-loved local tradition, Carols in the Park has been a cornerstone of Christmas Eve at The Entrance for decades, continuing to grow into a full-scale community celebration that blends traditional carols with modern festive favourites.
Produced by JC Entertainment and Events, the event proudly showcases local talent, with 14 Central Coast artists performing across three live music sets, backed by The House Band. The program celebrates the rich performing arts community of the Central Coast while creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for all ages.
JC Entertainment and Events Co-Director Emma Callaghan says the event’s focus on community connection remains at its core.
“Carols in the Park is about bringing people together at such a special time of year. We’re incredibly proud to continue highlighting local artists while creating a space where families, friends and neighbours can gather, celebrate and share in the joy of Christmas.”
Returning to the impressive local lineup is Todd Keys, whose extensive professional career brings a wealth of experience to the Carols in the Park stage. Todd has performed with Opera Australia, appeared in numerous major musical theatre productions, and was a finalist on ABC’s Operatunity Oz. His performance at this year’s event will offer a unique interpretation of much-loved Christmas classics, blending technical excellence with heartfelt storytelling.
“As the year draws to a close, Carols in the Park is a chance for our community to slow down, come together and celebrate what really matters. Performing alongside past and present students, friends and family is incredibly special, it’s a reminder that music connects generations and creates a sense of belonging that lasts long after the final note fades.”
Also featured in the 2025 program are rising country music artists Courtney Keil and Piper Rodrigues, who are making waves nationally while proudly representing the Central Coast.
Courtney Keil is one of Australia’s fastest-rising country voices, earning three consecutive Best Female Vocal awards at the Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards and reaching #1 on the iTunes Country Australia chart with her debut album, while Piper Rodrigues, a 2024 Toyota Star Maker finalist, has quickly gained attention for her glowing vocals and heartfelt performances. Their inclusion reflects the event’s commitment to showcasing diverse, high-calibre local talent while celebrating the next generation of Australian performers.
Beyond the live performances, the 2025 event offers a full evening of festive entertainment, including a visit from Santa Claus, appearances by the Grinch, DJ Elf’s kids dance party, a silent disco, dancing elves, interactive kids’ activities, and festive market stalls for last-minute Christmas shopping. A variety of food stalls and trucks will be on site, with the evening concluding in a spectacular fireworks display over Memorial Park.
Central Coast Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna says events like Carols in the Park play an important role in strengthening community connections, particularly during the holiday season.
“Our community loves to celebrate, and Council is proud to support this wonderful event that encourages people to connect at this special time of year. Thank you to everyone involved in producing Carols in the Park at The Entrance, so we can all take part in the spirit of Christmas.”
Carols in the Park is proudly presented by The Greens The Entrance whose support ensures the event remains free, family-friendly and full of festive magic for the Central Coast community.
This partnership highlights the commitment of local businesses to support community events and strengthen the holiday spirit across the region. Alongside The Greens The Entrance, the event continues to be proudly supported by Central Coast Council, HIT101.3 and Lakeside Shopping Centre.
The event will take place from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 at Memorial Park, The Entrance. Entry is free, and the community is encouraged to bring picnic blankets, family and friends to enjoy a festive night under the stars.
