Central Coast Broadband Infrastructure Group (CC-BIG / Superfast Broadband) announced that the NBN Co Discovery Truck will be visiting the Central Coast this month.

The 23 tonne Truck will be at Gosford Waterfront on the 23rd and at Long Jetty on the 24th of July.

Everyone is welcome.

The NBN Co Discovery Truck is a 23-tonne interactive demonstration centre, which highlights the various type of things available on the NBN through outdoor displays, high definition video screens, cameras and audio equipment designed to:

* bring to life the benefits that the Network can deliver for health, education and business services

* educate and answer any questions the Central Coast community may have about the Network rollout and how the NBN will benefit everyone

* demonstrate the equipment that residents will have in their homes.

CC-BIG Co-Chairman David Abrahams said, “This is a great opportunity for members of the community to come and see firsthand what the NBN will be able to offer them as individuals and as business leaders.”

“As one of the first NBN rollout locations in Australia, the visit of the NBN Co. Discovery Truck is an important step towards ensuring individuals and community groups are aware of the benefits the NBN will bring to the Central Coast” added Mr. Abrahams.

The NBN Co. Truck will be hosting FREE 20 minute interactive demonstrations throughout the day. Additionally a fundraising BBQ will be held on the 23rd at Gosford, with funds going to the Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre in order for Central Coast students to produce high definition video content for the community.

Individual and Group bookings are necessary to attend a free session on the NBN Co. Discovery Truck and can be made via the NBN Co. website.

The Discovery Truck will be located along Dane Drive in the Gosford City Park- Car Park, (waterfront area, Central Coast Hwy) from 10.00am - 5.00pm on the 23rd July and at Saltwater Creek Park, Corner Tuggerah Parade and The Entrance Road, Long Jetty on the 24th July.
